Bio
I am a native New Yorker who is fascinated with learning, loves jazz, visits museums locally and abroad, dabbles in the culinary arts, and consistently seeks outlets for creativity. I am a romantic who has grown to enjoy my own company and an introvert who can also be deeply engaging.
Education
I hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Welfare and a License to practice clinical social work in New York State. My academic portfolio includes provision of graduate-level instruction in organizational management and leadership, research methods, foundations of social work, practice in alcohol and substance use, and professional seminar—a capstone course designed to facilitate synthesis of policy, practice, and research in social work.
Employment
I am a public health sector professional with more than 25 years of experience facilitating individual, group, and system-level change within mental health, housing, substance use, and HIV/AIDS services. I have extensive knowledge of mental health workforce development including implementation of peer support services, having led the largest peer support workforce within the New York City Hospital system.
